Several months ago we have become involved in the Winged Lion project, whose aim is to unveil a memorial in Prague dedicated to all Czechoslovaks, who served in the British Royal Air Force during WW2. The memorial, whose prominent feature is a winged bronze lion, will be revealed at a ceremony June 17th 2014 in Prague with the participation of many British and Czech public figures. The grandson of Winston Churchill is about to attend, as well as Nicholas Soame, current member of the British parliament. In the course of the ceremony, the historic Spitfire airplane should make a flight over Prague.

The author of the Winged Lion Memorial is Colin Spofforth, one of the most acclaimed contemporary British sculptors.

Today, on the occasion of the project presentation., the Czechoslovak Historic Flight association is going to make a symbolic flight of a group of historic airplanes around Prague, You can see us in mid-air between 1745 and 1830 local time. The exact time of the take-off and the air route will be yet specified on our Facebook and Google+.
